Villains on Stage

“As You Like It”

by William Shakespeare

All the world's a stage,
and all men and women
merely players.

They have their
exits and entrances;
And one in their time
plays many parts.

“ME” vs. “WE”

We all choose our roles in life, and throughout it, we change. As H4H focuses its efforts on the greater good, that usually includes shining light on heroes focusing on service to others and pushing us all forward.

However, the story wouldn’t be complete without also casting light on today’s villains. This series playfully spotlights those playing the service to self version of the game.

Today, we feature Santa Barbara’s Ty Warner. As a modern day “Lex Luther”, Ty plays service to self by real estate acquisition, tax evasion, and assets under mismanagement.

Thanks to Sammi Hodges from Montecito for helping us spotlight Santa Barbara’s “Big Bad”.

Ty Warner

For too long, wealth-holders have acquired the most beautiful parts of God’s earth and hoarded them only for themselves, caring little for the destructive impact they have on the local community, or the workers they hire to maintain their private kingdoms.

Places like the Four Seasons Montecito - scooped up and gated off by recluse billionaire Ty Warner - are a microcosm for what’s wrong in our money-hungry world today.

Too Much Greed!

Notorious in Santa Barbara for his lack of contribution to the local community, Ty Warner spent his early years as a resident scooping up as many famed properties as his sickening wealth would allow. These included the famed Biltmore hotel, the Coral Casino, Montecito Club, and the San Ysidro Ranch.

After amassing his kingdom - built on the backs of young children and mothers across the globe, no less - he’s since done virtually nothing to better the community his assets under mismanagement now occupy.

Service to Self

You don’t have to look far to find reports, feature films, and documentaries displaying Ty’s selfishness and greed. During the 2020 pandemic, he used the crisis as an opportunity to serve his interests, shuttering the once-celebrated locale to protect his  wealth.

The famed Biltmore was closed indefinitely in March 2020 with no reopening slate, sending hundreds of dedicated employees into limbo. Naturally, he took no responsibility. Meanwhile, he only recently finished a years-long legal battle with the parent company, who no doubt must be praying for help from on high to replace him.

Out of Touch
With Humanity

After much await and debate by SB locals about what Ty would use this opportunity for, he announced his inspirational plans: a “Lazy River”!

Somehow, this entirely encapsulates Ty Warner in one simple concept!  Too bad a golden brand like the Four Seasons is being dragged through the mud.

Stay tuned for updates about how Ty’s attorneys will continue to use his resources to manipulate the government and local architectural board to serve his greed.
