The Heaven on Earth Project
As kids, our parents taught us an invaluable lesson: Life is about service to others. Our father demonstrated this by co-founding Athletes Serving the Community (ASC). This innovative, award-winning nonprofit united student athletes in service across Greater Boston.
Upon moving to Santa Barbara, we decided to follow in his footsteps. We leveraged decades of our own experience in sports and community service, while injecting our innate zest for disruption and innovation.
In 2014, we launched our social experiment at the Earth Day Festival as “The Heaven on Earth Project”—aka Santa Barbara Hustlers. With a flip chart and a Coors Light tent (sadly, no beer) nearly 100 people joined our social experiment. Our community service team was ready to play! Now what?

Serving Santa Barbara
Our first opportunity to serve was the SB Food Bank’s annual “Fork and Cork” gala. We emailed our list, and exactly one person joined us!
When we arrived, the three of us set up chairs, greeted guests, and advocated kids food programs as if we were part of the Food Bank team ourselves. We had a blast!
Word about Hustlers soon spread. With an inclusive team environment and playful spirit, we recruited hundreds of caring citizens to serve thousands of hours and raise millions of dollars for worthy causes across our town—from youth education to girls empowerment, human rights issues, the arts, mental health, planetary activism, and of course, consciousness itself.
After investing a decade designing and field-testing a duplicatable model, we are now bringing ONE Team chapters to communities worldwide!
Along the way, we realized Hustlers for Humanity (H4H) was never meant to be defined. That’s why it has become an ever-evolving platform for humanity to unite as ONE and create a world that works for us all.
